Botulinum Toxin for strabismus
toxin was first used to weaken eye muscles in 1979. Since that time much
research has been done on the safety and applications for this medicine.
It has been found that there are many instances of Squint (Strabismus or
crossed eyes) where application of Botulinum toxin (Botox - Allergan)
can be of great benefit. For more information see the section on
Botulinum toxin under Medical.
